▷ Ingredients for the cracker bread:

● 150 gr. of buckwheat flour
● 80 gr. of chestnut flour
● 50 gr. of sesame seeds
● 2 - 3 pinches of salt
● 160 ml/gr. of water
● handful of buckwheat flour

▷ Ingredients for the pesto:

● handful of basil
● 1/2 - 1 clove of garlic
● 20 gr. of pine nuts
● 2 - 3 pinches of salt
● 10 gr. of cheese of your choice (parmesan cheese)
● 60 gr. of olive oil

▷ Equipment:

● large bowl
● tablespoon
● baking paper
● baking sheet
● rolling pin
● blender
● chef's or bread's knife

Preparation time: 25 - 30 minutes
Baking time: 10 - 15 minutes at 175ºC / 340ºF

Preparation: Crackers

▶︎ Step 1: Prepare the dough

1 - 150 gr. of
Buckwheat flour into a large bowl (00:11)
2 - add 80 gr. of chestnut flour (00:14)
3 - add 50 gr. of sesame seeds (00:17)
4 - mix all ingredients with a tablespoon (00:22)

5 - add 2 - 3 pinches of salt (00:25)
6 - mix all ingredients with a tablespoon (00:29)

7 - add 160 ml/gr. of water (00:32)
8 - mix all ingredients with a tablespoon (00:37)

▶︎ Step 2: Prepare for baking

1 - place a baking sheet on the countertop (00:49)
2 - flour the baking sheet - use buckwheat flour (00:50)

3 - place the dough in the center (00:55)
4 - flour the dough - use buckwheat flour (01:00)

5 - form a ball with your hands (01:05)
6 - roll-out the dough with a rolling pin (01:18)
7 - flour the dough if necessary to reduce stickiness - use buckwheat flour (01:24)

8 - form a large disc (01:36)
9 - place the dough with the baking paper on the baking sheet (01:43)

10 - baking time: 10 - 15 minutes at 175ºC / 340ºF

Preparation: Pesto

▶︎ Step 3: Prepare the pesto

1 - a handful of fresh basil into a blender (01:50)
2 - add 1/2 - 1 clove of garlic (01:54)
3 - add 20 gr. of pine nuts (01:59)
4 - add 2 to 3 pinches of salt (02:01)

5 - add 10 gr. of cheese of your choice: Parmesan cheese (02:06)
6 - add 60 gr. of olive oil (02:13)
7 - blend all ingredient in a blender (02:18)

▶︎ Step 4: Cut and serve

1 - take the freshly baked bread out of the oven (02:33)
2 - cut the bread into large crackers with a bread's knife or a chef's knife (02:39)
